The Shepherdess Project
Laugh loudly. Speak boldly. Protect fiercely.
Yes, Rita & Tini is comedy. We laugh about dating, relationships, bad decisions, ridiculous men, and the things women usually only say in the group chat.
But underneath all the laughter is something very serious:
Women deserve to be safe.
Women deserve to be heard.
Women deserve to be protected.
And women need to protect one another.
Men, we love you. This isn’t about hating men. It’s about recognizing that far too many women experience abuse, violence, harassment, stalking, coercion, and other dangerous situations—and sometimes discover that the systems they believed would protect them simply don’t.
That’s why we’re creating The Shepherdess Project.
The Shepherdess Project will support women who find themselves in unsafe situations, particularly those who feel vulnerable, unheard, or unprotected after seeking help.
We want to build a community where women can tell their stories, find resources and support, and know that someone is willing to stand beside them.
She Needed Someone to Protect Her.
Sometimes a woman does everything she’s told to do.
She asks for help.
She reports what’s happening.
She tries to protect herself.
She follows the system.
And sometimes, the system still fails her.
That’s where the Shepherdesses come in.
We believe women can be an extraordinary force for other women. We can listen. We can advocate. We can connect women with resources. We can help amplify voices that have been ignored. And together, we can demand better protection for women everywhere.
Comedy with a Purpose.
Every time you buy a ticket to a Rita & Tini show, you’re not just coming for a night of cocktails, confessions, music, puppets, and outrageous laughter.
A portion of proceeds from Rita & Tini performances will support The Shepherdess Project and its mission.
As the foundation develops, we’ll share information about our programs, resources, partnerships, and ways you can become involved.
And when we’re ready to begin accepting donations, we’ll invite our community to help us turn laughter into action.
Have a Story?
We want women to know they are not invisible.
If you’ve experienced a situation in which you felt unsafe, unheard, or unprotected, we want to create a place where those stories can be heard.
Your story matters.
Your voice matters.
And you should never have to stand alone.
The Joke May Be About Men.
But the Mission Is About Women.
Women supporting women.
Women protecting women.
Women believing women.
Women standing together.
The Shepherdess Project
Because sometimes the person who protects the flock is another woman.
